Our girls have inherited our love for the beach. We decided to take a trip to California and spend as much time at the beach as possible. We spent a couple of days in San Diego, then stayed in Buena Park the rest of the time. Lorianne had to work and couldn't drive down there with us, but we picked her up at the Long Beach Airport on Saturday morning. She spent the rest of the trip with us. We had a great time going to Huntington Beach where the girls became pros's with a boogie board. Brent reverted back to his surfing days, and taught the girls how to dive under the big waves rather than get knocked down by them as I so gracefully demonstrated for them!
We were able to spend time with our wonderful friends Jeff and Cherei Griffin. We met them for dinner at The Spaghetti Factory, as well as Sarah Griffin, and Shelly Biehn and her daughters Kayleigh, Shayla and Peyton who were visting from Utah. We always have so much fun with them and value the friendship we have shared with them for 30+ years.
We were also able to visit with another wonderful friend, Robin Herbert. She was gracious enough to invite all of us over to her home for a wonderful dinner where we were able to visit with her sweet mother and and daughter and son-in-law, Brad and Brooke. We got to see Robin again meeting her at a Japanese restaurant for dinner where a few brave ones ate sushi, while the rest of us had real cooked food! It was so good to see her again!
